Back in January, RAM unveiled the newest member of its lineup and the next installment in its electrified fleet of vehicles. That new model is the 2024 RAM ProMaster EV, an all-electric version of the popular work van. This new electric vehicle offers everything fans of the ProMaster nameplate have come to expect from the cargo van, with the added benefit of having an electric powertrain. This could be a huge benefit for those who operate in a small area, as you’ll be much less impacted by range and charging time. Electric Powertrain
The electric powertrain underpinning the all-new ProMaster EV includes a standard 110-kWh battery pack that is hypothesized to deliver up to 162 miles of city driving range. The battery pack is tethered to a 200-kW electric drive module making the van capable of generating up to 268 horsepower alongside 302 pound-feet of torque. Those two things combined translate to a maximum payload of 3,020 pounds for the cargo models and 2,030 lbs. for the delivery variant.
When it comes to charging, the RAM ProMaster EV will be capable of Level 3 DC fast charging with several different options, including 50 kW, 85 kW, 125 kW and 150 kW. For Level 2 home charging, a box charger is available with purchase that enables up to 11 kW.
