The RAM brand is really focusing on its electrified future as of late. Not only is the brand-new RAM 1500 REV on the way, but now the automaker has introduced an all-electric version of its work van, the 2024 RAM ProMaster EV. Electric Powertrain
Powering this new version of the 2024 RAM ProMaster will be a 110-kilowatt-hour battery pack tethered to a 200-kilowatt electric drive module. These two things together enable the vehicle to generate up to 268 horsepower alongside 302 pound-feet of torque and to haul a payload of up to 3,020 pounds. It’s possible that the brand will look to add additional battery pack options, but for now this is what you’ll find beneath the hood of every model.
EV Range & Charging
That 110-kWh battery pack enables the ProMaster EV to travel up to 162 miles of city driving on a full charge, which should be plenty for a work van as you’re not typically driving long distances. On those instances when you do need to travel further, there are several Level 3 DC fast charging options built in, including 50 kW, 85 kW, 125 kW and 150 kW which will enable you to charge the battery rapidly for extended range. You can also opt for a Level 2 wall charger of up to 11 kW.
Additional Highlights
There is so much great content and plenty of customization options for shoppers to choose from that we certainly can’t fit it all into one paragraph. An important highlight to detail, however, is that there will be two configurations available – a delivery model and a cargo model, the latter of which will be made available at a later time. The delivery model will be offered with a 159” wheelbase, a very high roof and a bunch of great standard and available features.
