Although the third-generation Durango has been around since 2011, it has undergone plenty of updates and enhancements through the past decade plus to keep itself fresh. This year is no different, so we thought we’d give you the rundown on exactly what’s new in the 2022 Dodge Durango this year. Regardless of what’s new, the 2022 Dodge Durango continues to be offered in five trim levels: SXT, GT R/T, Citadel and SRT 392. Four different exterior color options are available, alongside six interiors.

While quite a lot changed for the 2022 model year, none of it is new, per say. Instead, a ton of features and content have been shuffled around and made standard on certain trim levels. For example, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection are both now standard across the entire lineup of Durango trim levels. Another example is that the Blacktop Package offered on R/T and GT trim levels now offers a set of performance all-season tires, but a performance hood in the latter.
Both the SXT and GT trim levels have added a host of newly standard features:

- Three-row, seven-passenger seating
- Power-adjustable driver’s seat
- ParkSense rear park assist system
- Bright roof rails
- GT
- Remote start system
- Heated front seats
- Heated steering wheel
- Power liftgate
In addition, the Plus Group now offers new content as well. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Advanced Brake Assist and Lane Departure Warning Plus are now standard on both the GT Plus and R/T Plus Groups, while the following features are also now standard:

- Memory system
- Rain-sensing automatic windshield wipers
- Bright cargo area scuff plates
- Leather seats, featuring suede inserts
- Heated front- and second-row seats
- R/T Plus
- Nappa leather seats, featuring perforated inserts and accent stitching

- Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking
- Harmon Kardon premium audio system
- Premium Interior Package
- Premium wrapped instrument panel
- Dinamica soft-touch headliner
