2024 Dodge Hornet R/T EV Powertrain Technical Specs

Aesthetically, the Dodge Hornet GT and R/T are nearly identical, with the exception of a few subtle differences – such as different wheels. But under the hood, the two compact crossover utility vehicles are quite different, as one is a traditional gas-powered vehicle and the other is a modern plug-in hybrid turned up to 11 thanks to signature Dodge performance. Today we thought we’d highlight the technical specs of the EV powertrain found in 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T, as the new version of the vehicle has finally been released. more “The Hornet RT stands apart from other compact UVs, with 383 lb.-ft. of torque that gives drivers the kind of instant acceleration and engaging driving experience that is unheard of in the category. As the first electrified vehicle from the brand – with our first fully battery-electric vehicle, the Dodge Charger Daytona, arriving this year – we know that when compared to horsepower, torque can sometimes be underappreciated. We’re launching this campaign to change that perception.” – Tim Kuniskis, Chief Executive Officer, Dodge Brand - Stellantis Hornet R/T Electric Powertrain The new 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T is powered by the combination of a 1.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 90-kW electric induction motor on the rear axle. Altogether, the powertrain is capable of generating up to 258 horsepower alongside 383 pound-feet of torque, which enables it to accelerate from a complete stop up to 60 miles per hour in just 5.6 seconds then go on to hit a top speed of 128 miles per hour. You can even get a boost of power – 30 horsepower, to be more precise – thanks to the segment-exclusive PowerShot feature. As for how far its powertrain is able to take it, the Hornet R/T does offer seamless transitions between traditional driving and all-electric driving. As a plug-in hybrid, it doesn’t have a mind-blowing electric range, but 32 miles of electric driving should be plenty for your in-town trips. And when you have to go further, an EPA-estimate 360 miles of overall range should be more than enough. Introducing Stellantis's New Full Commercial Mobility Solution: RAM Professional

In addition to our regular trucks and SUVs here at Briggs Dodge RAM, we also provide a variety of commercial vehicles. If you’re a previous or potential commercial customer, you might be pleased to hear about the RAM brand’s new, next-generation full commercial mobility solution called RAM Professional. The automaker just recently introduced this new solution, so we thought we’d dive into the details to give you an idea of what exactly it means for commercial customers. more “With RAM Professional, our commercial vehicle customers will benefit from a simplified and all-encompassing business solution with products and services that feature best-in-class performance, capability, advanced technology and value to best fit their business needs. We know our customers depend on us day-in and day-out, and RAM Professional is committed to delivering the best commercial vehicle lineup and serving our customers with the most important tools of their trade.” – Ken Kayser, Vice President, RAM Professional What is RAM Professional? For starters, let’s define what exactly RAM Professional is. It’s a new separate business unit, meaning it operates somewhat independently of RAM itself, though it still works with RAM trucks. In fact, the vehicles it will have to offer include the brand-new RAM ProMaster EV, RAM 1500 REV, RAM 1500 Ramcharger, RAM Heavy Duty and, of course, the RAM Chassis Cab lines. RAM Professional is being built to change the landscape for commercial vehicles – not the automobiles themselves, but the way a commercial company works. It will not stop after the sale of the vehicle(s), but rather stick with their customers through the entire life of the vehicle, offering all kinds of services such as upfitting, converting, electrifying and more. RAM Professional List of Services With that said, let’s give a brief overview of the different services that will be offered by the new business. Commercial Service Support. RAM Professional will be establishing a dedicated RAM BusinessLink network of service-enabled dealerships. This network will be capable of providing service packages focused on the customer, as well as several new maintenance contracts. These new contracts include ideas like basic fleet maintenance, road hazards and multi-care coverage. Upfit Friendliness. As if RAM hadn’t already established enough of a reputation for being upfitter-ready, RAM Professional will also introduce a network of local upfitters approved to work with their dealerships and take care of all their customers' upfitting needs. Commercial Financing. RAM Professional will also take advantage of the recently announced Stellantis Financial, providing things such as commercial credit lines, closed-end leasing and financing for up to 100% of the commercial fleet’s cost. Connected Services. Partnering up with data platform Mobilisights, commercial customers will be able to stay connected to their fleet by having real-time data available at their fingertips. This in addition to the typical navigation, safety and security options available. Electrification and Charging. With three new electrified vehicles available on the RAM Professional lineup, offering professional charging solutions is a big focus for the company. While the company plans to announce further details at a later date, we know this will be addressed by the Stellantis Free2move Charge ecosystem. While this is a ton of information already, it’s only part of what RAM Professional will be capable of, and we’re sure the company will release more details down the road. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about building your commercial fleet, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us right here at Briggs Dodge RAM today!
