Tradesman

This is the base trim, the entry-level version of the truck that comes with the most basic features. It’s powered by a 3.6L V6 eTorque engine featuring Stop/Start technology. You can opt for either 4x2 or 4x4, Quad Cab or Crew Cab, and a 5’7” or 6’4” box. We’re just going to list a few features that get upgraded in later trims: it has a rear axle ratio of 3.55, 18” steel wheels and vinyl seat upholstery.

Tradesman HFE

The Tradesman HFE is the next step up the ladder, but it’s only available as a Quad Cab with 6’4” box and 4x2 drivetrain. It upgrades to a thermal rear axle with 3.21 ratio, 20” aluminum chrome-clad wheels, wheel-to-wheel side steps, a roll-up tonneau cover by Mopar, cloth seat upholstery and high-back front bucket seats.

Big Horn

Big Horn goes back to having all six available configuration options but keeps the 3.21 rear axle ratio and cloth seat upholstery. It has 18” cast aluminum wheels, chrome exterior highlights, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Laramie

For the Laramie trim level, both drivetrains and both bed sizes are available, but only with the Crew Cab option. There’s a huge upgrade in content here, building on what the Big Horn already has to offer. It adds power-folding exterior mirrors, LED tail lamps, leather seat upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory, eight-way power front seats with two-way power lumbar control, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rear view mirror, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a 115V aux power outlet, a 7” driver information cluster, a nine-speaker audio system with subwoofer, 8.4” Uconnect 5 infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an available 4G LTE WI-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, HD Radio, a remote start system, universal garage door opener, full-speed forward collision warning plus and advanced brake assist.

Rebel

Designed with off-road adventures in mind, the Rebel is only available with the 4x4 drivetrain, Crew Cab and 5’7” box. It builds on the previous trim level, changing and adding other things. THis starts with a 3.92 rear axle ratio, performance-tuned shocks, electronic shift-on-the-fly part time transfer case, all-terrain tires, LED reflector lamps, a raised ride height, underbody skid plates, perforated steering wheel with accent stitching, tow hooks, off-road rubber floor mats, cloth and vinyl seat upholstery, 12” driver information cluster, six-speaker audio system, off-road info pages and Selec-Speed control.

Limited Longhorn

Similar to the Laramie, only the Crew Cab is available but the other four configurations are up to you. The Limited Longhorn adds or upgrades to the following features: 20” polished aluminum wheels, bi-frunction LED projector headlamps and fog lamps, automatic high beam control, a Class IV receiver hitch, chrome tow hooks, rain-sensitive windshield wipers, power tailgate release, wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear power-sliding window, rear under-seat storage compartment, in-floor storage bins, power-adjustable pedals with memory and a 12” Uconnect 5 Nav infotainment system.

Limited

The Limited follows the same ruleset as the Limited Longhorn, but improves or adds the following features: four-corner air suspension, heavy-duty engine cooling, active noise control, premium leather seat upholstery, blind spot and cross path detection. It’s powered by a 5.7L V8 HEMI engine capable of generating up to 395 horsepower alongside 410 pound-feet of torque. This engine is also available in the Rebel, Limited Longhorn, Laramie, Big Horn and Tradesman trims, but it comes standard here.

There are two additional RAM 1500 trucks available for the 2024 model year, but we don’t see them pass through our inventory too often and they’re quite a bit different from the rest of the lineup. The RAM 1500 Classic is the continuation of the previous generation, while the RAM 1500 TRX is a high-performance variant upgraded to a 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 engine.
