As you may know by now, the iconic Dodge Challenger and Charger models are being discontinued in their current states after the 2023 model year. The legendary performance vehicles have had a fantastic run as some of the most powerful and sought-after muscle cars on the market, but with said market turning more and more towards electrification it’s time for the current chapter to close so a new one can open. In time, both nameplates are sure to return on EV models, but until then fans of these two Dodge vehicles will have only the Last Call models to admire. We hope to see some of these special edition models here in Topeka, Kansas, as they will be unique versions of both nameplates to commemorate the end of their runs.
There are seven Last Call special edition models in total, starting with the Dodge Challenger Shakedown which pays homage to a concept from the 2016 SEMA Show. It is joined by Dodge Charger Super Bee, Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger models, Dodge Charger King Daytona, Dodge Challenger Black Ghost and the ultimate Dodge performance vehicle – the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, which delivers 1,025 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-60 in just 1.66 seconds.
In addition to these special edition versions, every Dodge Challenger and Charger unit built for the 2023 model year will be considered a Last Call model, complete with a commemorative underhood plaque that marks this fact. The special edition models will be joined by ordinary trim levels, each of which (except the SRT Super Stock) can be designated a Jailbreak model so that its buyer can build one to their own specifications. In addition, B5 Blue, Plum Crazy, Sublime and Destroyer Grey all return as color options.
For the Dodge Challenger, pricing starts off with the SXT at $30,545. Additional trim levels include GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak and SRT Super Stock. The highest price model will be the Black Ghost Special Edition at $99,315. The Charger starts with the SXT at $32,645 and offers GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat Jailbreak Widebody and SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak Widebody models. King Daytona is the top at $98,420. Both models’ SXT and GT trims are available with AWD systems.
