The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX is a large, heavy-duty monster that can tackle any task it’s presented with. The TRX variation of the 2022 1500 is significantly wider than the base model, and has an extremely powerful supercharged engine. Ram has also added a limited-production variation, the Ignition Edition, which will only have 875 models built. The Ignition Edition will have an easy to spot bright orange paint job, as well as unique badging and graphics, and fantastic added comfort and utility features. Let’s check out all the new features Ram has included for the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX.
The 2022 TRX will be powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8, aka the Hellcat engine. This engine will be able to produce 702-horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, and it’s paired with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The TRX is meant to be driven off-road, having a reinforced steel frame and higher suspension than the base 1500. The TRX also sits on huge 35-inch all-terrain tires that are mounted on 18-inch wheels, which give the TRX 11.8 inches of ground clearance. To go along with this, each TRX will have plating on it’s belly to protect it from any hazards that go along with off-roading. Ram gave the new TRX 8,100 pounds of towing capacity, as well as 1,310 pounds of payload capacity.
Ram designed the TRX to be a large, hardy truck, designed for plowing its way through mud, snow, or anything that gets in its way. This doesn’t mean they forgot to make the TRX one of the most comfortable trucks on the market though, as the 2022 TRX has plenty of fantastic luxury features that will be sure to please you and your passengers. Cloth upholstery is standard, but you can upgrade to get leather covered surfaces and a mix of microsuede and carbon-fiber accents that give the cabin an upscale feel.
The technology featured in the 2022 TRX is fantastic. Some of the tech you’ll find include a heads-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and heated/ventilated front seats. iIn the middle of the dashboard on every TRX is a vertically mounted 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The unit comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The display can be divided into separate menus so that multiple applications can be open at once, and it also features physical knobs and buttons if you prefer tactile controls.
Starting at $75,275 the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX is a premier option for those who want a large, powerful, luxurious, head turning truck. If the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX interests you, or if you have any questions, feel free to come on down to Briggs Dodge or call us at (785) 380-8486.
